Asphalt & Honey

Three studies for the series in black terracotta
What's it all about? something gritty, something sweet in postindustrial Oakland.
I'm currently working with new ideas and using interference patterns. True, it's from printmaking, yet I want to apply it to sculpture, and I'm trying to figure out how to make it work in 3D space.. I see it as a tool to call attention to the underpinnings of meaning, by deliberately getting in the viewer's line of sight.
